Keeping things like Fluval edge and other fish tanks indoors you will not actually have to change very much at all but the pond fish will need more regular attention if you want to keep them alive during the winter months.
Put A Stop To The Freeze
The chances are, if you are living in the UK or perhaps another chilly location in the world you are going to be stuck when it comes to the winter as without getting some kind of marine filter or anti freeze filter your fish will die. The reason that this tends to happen is because things freeze over at night. You will actually find that most nights the water will freeze a tiny bit but some nights the whole thing can freeze over and the fish will die. Even if it is just the top layer of the pond that is freezing over you will have trouble because the fish are not going to have access to oxygen in the water.
Either way you need to invest money in looking after that pond because if you don’t you are going to have to put even more money back into it buying new fish for the pond! Do not forget about these pets this winter because they need a lot more care than perhaps the dog, at least the dog can tell you when something is wrong.
