Never leave it in the car
The sun is shining so you do not want to keep your pet indoors, you think it might be a good idea to take your pet with you when you go on your errands or of course any travels you may go on. Well although it sounds like a good idea, make sure you never leave the pet in the car, the car can reach 120 degrees in minutes even in the shade. So what is the problem with this?
Well dogs as well as cats cannot perspire and the only way they can get rid of heart is by panting and through the pads on their feet. On the inside of the car there is no air they can use to inhale. Leaving a pet alone in a hot car for a few minutes could result in heat stroke, brain damage or even death. even sticking the air conditioning on in the car is not going to solve this problem.
The best thing to do is actually to leave the pet indoors with plenty of water to drink, it is better than the car.
People will often take their pets out more in the summer and this means that during the summer month’s people lose their pets. Make sure your pets are always chipped and wearing ID tags in case this happens.
